vConstruct, a Pune-based Construction Technology company, is seeking a Sr Lead Electrical Engineer with 12+ years of experience to lead and oversee electrical engineering design services for global construction projects. This role requires strong technical leadership, deep expertise in electrical systems, and close coordination to ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant, and constructible electrical solutions across all project phases.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing, reviewing, and overseeing the creation and quality assurance of electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout all phases of project design, in coordination with a US-based licensed engineer.
- Lead and oversee complex electrical system designs and analytical models using advanced knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards.
- Provide technical direction and approval for electrical design concepts, calculations, and documentation.
- Serve as a senior subject matter expert (SME) by providing technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve electrical design standards, best practices, and quality control procedures.
- Align electrical engineering priorities with overall project objectives, business goals, and client requirements.
- Support multidisciplinary coordination and resolve high-complexity technical and constructability issues.
- Oversee and support construction administration activities including critical RFIs, submittals, field issues, and technical risk mitigation.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers to build technical capability and design excellence.
- Contribute to strategic planning, technical risk evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in electrical engineering design for commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Expert-level knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IEC, and related regulations.
- Proven experience leading and reviewing complex electrical designs, systems, and analytical studies.
- Strong proficiency in electrical design and documentation tools including AutoCAD, Revit, and analysis software.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and influence design decisions across projects.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, mentoring, and decision-making skills.
- Experience supporting US-based projects and working with US-licensed engineers is strongly preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required.
