vConstruct, a Pune-based Construction Technology company, is seeking an Electrical Designer with 2+ years of experience in electrical design or building systems engineering. The role focuses on supporting electrical design delivery for global construction projects under close supervision from local Electrical Engineering teams. The position provides hands-on exposure to building electrical systems, BIM workflows, and multidisciplinary coordination.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the creation of electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout all phases of project design under close supervision from local Electrical Engineering teams and coordination with US Designers/Modelers.
- Assist in developing electrical designs and system layouts for building power, lighting, and low voltage systems using working knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
- Prepare and update electrical plans, single-line diagrams, schematics, and schedules as directed.
- Collaborate with engineers, modelers, and detailers to produce accurate 2D and 3D electrical models using CAD and BIM tools. Solidworks knowledge and experience is preferred
- Participate in interdisciplinary coordination to support clash resolution and design consistency.
- Support construction administration activities by reviewing submittals, responding to requests for information (RFIs), and participating in site visits as directed.
- Ensure deliverables meet project quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements.
- Incorporate client and reviewer comments into design documents under guidance.
Skills
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in electrical design or building systems engineering.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
- Basic understanding of applicable electrical codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA, and related guidelines.
- Proficiency in design and documentation tools such as AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), or similar CAD/BIM platforms.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
