RFI Management
You identify potential RFIs early through drawing and model reviews. You interpret raised RFIs, mark impacted areas and help keep all stakeholders aligned.
Submittal Management
You interpret specifications, create submittal logs, and assist project teams in tracking and managing submittals using project management platforms.
Change Management
You track cost and scope changes that arise from updated drawings, RFIs, and model revisions. You prepare scope change reports that help teams validate cost impacts.
Construction Document and Design Review
You review design drawings, construction drawings, shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs to identify inconsistencies, incomplete information, or constructability issues.
Model-Based Coordination

4. Tendering & Bid Support
o Lead the tendering process by developing contractor / subcontractor scopes, bid assumptions, relevant tender clauses and risk allowances

6. Coordination & Collaboration

8. Contract Administration

This role exists to deliver accurate, reliable electrical quantity takeoffs and cost estimates that enable predictable project delivery. By translating design intent into actionable estimates, this role helps project teams make informed decisions, identify risks early, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and with high quality.
What you will own
Project Delivery & Estimation
- Develop precise quantity takeoffs and estimates for electrical scopes using CSI Uniformat/MasterFormat coding.
- Quantify electrical trade packages including medium & low voltage power distribution, lighting & controls, low voltage systems (data, communications, security, AV, fire alarm, BMS), generator, and UPS systems.
- Review drawings, RFIs, models, and specifications to identify gaps, missing details, and discrepancies.
- Leverage 3D models for quantification and comparison across design versions; develop 3D models from 2D drawings as needed.
- Provide early-stage conceptual estimates when design details are limited.
- Track and communicate design changes and their impact on estimates.
Client & Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with international project teams via emails and virtual meetings to ensure alignment on deliverables.
- Build strong relationships with onsite teams, customers, and colleagues at vConstruct.
- Coordinate across multiple scopes and disciplines to ensure integrated outcomes.
Process Development & Innovation
- Document workflows and develop execution plans for new scopes, tools, or processes.
- Train team members on updated processes, technologies, and best practices.
- Expand knowledge into other estimating areas while maintaining focus on electrical systems.
A day in this role
A typical day begins with reviewing project documents, RFIs, and models to identify gaps or updates. You develop electrical quantity takeoffs, update 3D models, and ensure estimates align with project goals. You participate in virtual coordination meetings with global teams, communicate changes or issues, and integrate feedback into models and estimates. Time is spent documenting workflows, improving estimation processes, and mentoring team members.
What you should bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Quantity Surveying specialization preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in electrical estimating/quantification for building construction.
- Knowledge of US, European, or Indian electrical construction documents and standards.
- Proficiency in Revit, Assemble, CostX, OST, Planswift, or equivalent estimation software.
- Ability to interpret single-line diagrams, load schedules, panel schedules, and lighting layouts.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, with a “can-do” attitude and ability to work independently.
- Professional certifications such as RICS or AACE are a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
Rebar Modeler and Detailer is accountable to create high quality deliverables and outputs on schedule, act independently to manage the assigned work and deliverables, work closely with project lead and project manager to plan project implementation. Indicative responsibilities include:
-Carefully study project documents - drawings, details, RFIs and addendums. Identify missing information, discrepancies and constructability issues.
-Develop high quality, accurate 2D & 3D models for concrete and rebar using Tekla software and applying knowledge of RCC systems, constructability and previous experience.
-Participate in trade coordination meetings to identify and incorporate changes in model.
-Create field deliverables like shop drawings, export layout points from model.
-Check the quality of work for accuracy before submissions to client teams. Meet quality metrics established for project.
-Project set up, including model set up in Tekla.
-Communicate with client regarding project deliverables. Most client meetings will happen between 5 PM and 10 PM IST.
Other non-project responsibilities include,
