Project Engineer – LGSF 8 1 [1]

These individuals are expected to have an eye for details and a comprehensive understanding of various elements including Drywall framing, MEP systems, and finishes, as well as basic understanding of prefabricated products. Responsibility and Focus Areas:

Light Gauge Steel Modeler is accountable for creating high-quality deliverables and outputs on schedule, acting independently to manage the assigned work and deliverables, work closely with the project lead and project manager to plan project implementation.

Indicative responsibilities include:

• Carefully study project documents - drawings, details, RFIs, and addendums. Identify missing information, discrepancies, and constructability issues.

• Develop high-quality, accurate 3D models for Light Gauge steel using Revit (MWF)/Tekla software and applying knowledge of Light gauge steel systems, constructability, and previous experience.

• Participate in trade coordination meetings to identify and incorporate model changes.

• Create accurate LOD 500 Fabrication level 2D drawing deliverables from the model for the use of Layout on the field and fabrication at the shop floor.

• Generate reports for use in Fabrication, Procurement, logistics, and Installation on site.

• Check the quality of work for accuracy before submission to client teams. Meet quality metrics established for the project.

• Project set-up, including model set-up in Revit/Tekla.

• Architectural modeling of LOD 400 and more, with different intents & deliverables such as exterior facades, building virtual mockups, pursuit models, and quantity take-offs often preparing framing-fit models.

• Execute model-based schedule take-offs for different materials and systems

• Develop shop drawings, and finish details for approval and installation.

• Manage and support prefabrication of exterior façades for large-scale US-based projects from supporting design development to installation, absorbed in GC/ subcontractor support.

• Communicate with clients regarding project deliverables. Most client meetings will happen between 5 PM and 10 PM IST.

General:

• Quality Assurance - Check the quality of work for accuracy before submission to client teams. Meet quality metrics established for the project.

• Understanding any new scope of work, processes, and platforms coming up with a workflow, and documenting it once approved by the project team. This can be followed by training concerning team members.

Skills and Qualifications:

Primary responsibilities include

Architectural modeling of exterior facades and pursuit models for the selected scope of work.

Virtual Builder - Costing Cluster - Project Engineer 8 1 [1]

vConstruct, a Pune based international construction technology company is seeking CSA Estimating Engineers that have the ability or experience to review design information (drawings, specification, and BIM) and be able to quantify Civil, Structural and Architectural Interiors, and Architectural Envelope for the purposes of cost estimation, bid management, production tracking etc. An understanding and experience of building construction around Civil, Structural, and Architectural is must and experience around projects like hospitals, commercial office buildings, hospitality, data centers, biopharmaceutical plants, life sciences, manufacturing and higher education buildings would be preferred. The individual will be joining our Costing cluster as Project Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop high-quality, accurate quantity estimates as per CSI Uniformat, Master format coding leveraging drawings, specifications, and models
Develop quantity takeoffs for various trade packages like Civil Hardscape, landscape, structural, Architectural Interiors, Exterior skin, Roofing, etc.
Study project drawings, details, RFIs, models and other documents. Identify any discrepancies or missing information.

Ability to capture as-built information and compare it with BIM to verify alignment and Quality Checks on construction put in place.

Clash Detection and Coordination:

Perform Model based coordination amongst different building systems using tools like Navisworks Clash Detection, Revizto, etc. Engage in BIM coordination meetings between different trades (MEPF, Skin, Structures, Interiors, and Site).
Suggest solutions to MEP problems and conflicts through accurate interpretation of contract documents and thorough understanding of constructability.

The Project Engineer – Reality Capture (VB) works on Scan to BIM techniques to capture the As-built conditions and analyze them. 

  Principal Responsibilities Include: 

Develop accurate models based on the pointclouds or redline drawings using parametric or solid objects which may include building systems like Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing and Fire Protection systems with core and shell. 
Proficient in scan registration software’s like Faro Scene, Leica Register 360, Trimble Realworks etc. Includes registration (target based, cloud to cloud), adding control points from survey data or CADs available, scan cleanup and analysis such as contours, volume calculations etc.  
Proficient in reading Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical design drawings, single line diagrams, riser diagrams etc. 
Leveraging the MEP systems knowledge to resolve any conflicts in As-built condition, and flag critical issues to the clients.  
Produce dimensioned As-built plans and drawings for site coordination.
Ability to perform various Quality Checks on the Models to validate them for the following points:
Model accuracy and completeness
Alignment based on design model/documents. 
Model sanity: no duplication of data, no errors or omissions, continuity of systems between the different points of connection. 
Ability to compare 2D and 3D data between the different versions to identify what has changed over a period.
Flexibility to meet and communicate with project teams based in the USA during evening hours (7:30 – 11:30 pm IST) on an as-needed basis.

Generate Mesh Models and Classification from Laser Scan Data.
