o   Regularly update cost database to reflect trends and regional price fluctuations

4. Tendering & Bid Support

o   Lead the tendering process by developing contractor / subcontractor scopes, bid assumptions, relevant tender clauses and risk allowances

o   Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to determine labor, material, and equipment requirements

o   Suggest clients on tender clarifications, tender event schedule and evaluate technical submissions by vendors / suppliers in line with clients requirements

o   Carry out vendor / supplier evaluation (with support from project teams) with respect to technical details and project delivery

o   Take ownership of the Tender Event Schedule right up to the award of contract

5. Value Engineering & Cost Optimization

o   Plan for Value Engineering workshop during the concept design and then before design finalization stage of the project

o   Identify opportunities to reduce cost by suggesting alternate materials, or design modifications.

o   Guide the planning and design management teams to update on schedule, delivery status and change management

6. Coordination & Collaboration

o   Coordinate with team members during all the stages of the project to ensure plans are updated as per project status

o   Proactively involve in the Risk Management scope and suggest mitigation measures as and when a risk is identified so as to keep the project timelines and cost intact

o   Collaborate with the clients team through regular exchange of information, periodic updates and meetings, keeping them informed about the progress at different stages of the project and raising red flags as and when attention is required that needs early resolution

o   Coordinate with design teams to ensure design / drawing delivery is as per agreed schedule and support the team in case their delivery is getting affected due to inputs and approvals from required stakeholders

o   Prepare a detailed change management process that is defined at the beginning of the project, approved by client and accepted by all stakeholders

8. Contract Administration

The individual will collaborate with a team of architects, engineers, modelers and detailers to transform design concepts into detailed structural plans, specifications, and formal calculation packages. They will utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other industry-standard tools to develop accurate and efficient structural designs. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of structural engineering principles will be crucial in this role.  

This role will primarily focus on gaining exposure to the variety of approaches and tasks involved in structural design through the completion of specific design tasks in close coordination with their Project Managers. They will gain familiarity with a variety of material types, design approaches, project phases, and project scales, while actively participating in their project teams.  

Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Assist in the production of drawings, specifications, and calculations during a project’s design phase life cycle from conceptual design to completion of construction documents under close supervision and coordination with the Project Manager or Senior Design Engineer. Responsibility will include tasks that are specific and clearly outlined.  
• Assist in the completion of various construction administration tasks, such as reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFIs, and making site visits, under close supervision and coordination with the Project Manager.  
• Assist in the development of structural designs and analytical models for various building types and materials.   
• Review and revise designs based on feedback from senior design engineers and project stakeholders.  
• Perform calculations and analyses to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building codes and regulations. Basic knowledge of common codes, with assistance provided by other team members.  
• Basic knowledge of CAD software, including Tekla Structures, and other tools to create 2D drawings and 3D models.  
• Collaborate with team members, including engineers, modelers and detailers, to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality design solutions within budget.  
• Participate in internal project design meetings to gain practical knowledge and understanding of project requirements.  
• Stay updated with industry trends, code updates, and advancements in structural design techniques and technologies by actively participating in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in structural engineering and project management.  
• Help identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and efficiency enhancement within the company.

This role is responsible for overseeing and managing large and complex projects from conceptual design through construction completion. The role involves coordinating and supervising all aspects of the structural design process through completion of the construction administration phase, ensuring that the structural components are designed, modeled, detailed, and delivered in accordance with the project’s scope, budget, and schedule expectations.    

This role will work closely with the design and construction team members to deliver a safe and cost-efficient structural design that meets or exceeds the Group’s standards and expectations.

• Monitor project costs, track expenses and manage the project budget, including Monthly Status Reports.    
• Support the US counterparts to invoice and pursue payments due. Also identify and pursue change orders as appropriate due to the modifications to the project's scope, budget or schedule.

The Head of Architecture Services Leader will play a strategic and hands-on leadership role in setting up and scaling the Architecture Services discipline within the Design Services Business Unit in India. This leader will serve as the primary bridge between India and US Architecture teams fostering seamless collaboration and integrated project delivery across geographies.

A key responsibility of this role is to grow and strengthen India’s architecture capabilities to support U.S. projects, while fostering a culture of collaboration and operational excellence under the “One DPR” approach. The leader will also work closely with vConstruct and DPR leadership to align with company guidelines, policies, and practices while ensuring technical excellence, business growth, and people development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in architecture from an accredited program.
• Professional architectural license from the U.S. is preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of progressive architectural experience, including substantial U.S. project experience.
• Proven track record in scaling architecture operations and managing global teams.
• Knowledge of U.S. building codes, construction methods, and project delivery processes is preferred
• Strong leadership, operational management, and financial oversight skills.
• Advanced proficiency in BIM workflows and architectural software (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360).
• Outstanding cross-cultural communication and collaboration skills.

Travel Requirements

• Periodic visits to U.S. offices for integration with DPR design teams and leadership meetings.
