vConstruct is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support mechanical engineering design activities across all phases of project delivery. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality mechanical design solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of mechanical drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations throughout all phases of project design
- Coordinate and review design outputs under the guidance of Sr/Lead Mechanical Engineer/Manager and/or U.S. licensed engineer
- Assist in developing mechanical system designs and analytical models for HVAC, hydronic, piping, and mechanical equipment systems
- Apply basic knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, standards, and industry best practices
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, BIM/modeling teams, and external stakeholders to produce coordinated design deliverables
- Support project execution to ensure quality, schedule, and budget adherence
- Assist with construction administration activities, including:
- Reviewing submittals
- Responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) o Participating in site visits as directed
Skills
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design or consulting
- Working knowledge of HVAC, hydronic, piping, and mechanical equipment systems
- Basic understanding of applicable mechanical codes and standards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Familiarity with mechanical design and drafting/modeling tools (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
