vConstruct, a Pune-based Construction Technology company seeks a Mechanical Modeler to support the development of accurate, constructible mechanical system models for building projects. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative BIM team and will contribute across project phases by translating design intent and coordination inputs into high-quality digital models.
Responsibilities
- Understand and interpret mechanical design information, drawings, and specifications for building systems
- Develop detailed mechanical BIM models including ductwork, piping, mechanical equipment, and support systems using BIM tools
- Translate engineering design intent and coordination inputs into accurate and constructible digital models
- Apply established BIM standards, detailing guidelines, and workflows to ensure quality and consistency across projects
- Update and maintain mechanical models throughout design and construction phases
- Support coordination and clash detection activities by reviewing mechanical model content and incorporating coordination comments
Skills
- 2+yrs of experience in Mechanical BIM Modeling for building projects
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and mechanical equipment layouts
- Proficiency in Revit MEP and familiarity with Navisworks for coordination and clash detectio. Solidworks knowledge and experience is preferred
- Good attention to detail and ability to work within defined modeling standards
- Understanding of prefabrication and constructability principles is desirable
Education
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent relevant industry experience)
