Why this role exists
We are driving a deliberate shift in how construction is planned and delivered. Our goal is to increase predictability, improve efficiency, and make project delivery easier for everyone involved. This role is central to that mission. It supports project teams by turning data, models, and planning insights into dependable execution that strengthens confidence on the ground.
What will you own
• Managing and interpreting drawings, models, and specifications
• Supporting BIM-enabled project management workflows
• Identifying gaps or risks early and helping teams act on them
• Strengthening quality, accuracy, and consistency across project information
• Being the go-to person for clarity during bidding, preconstruction, execution, and closeout
Where you will make an impact
You will be part of the Virtual Builder group. This group works closely with general contractors and subcontractors. The goal is to improve predictability and streamline workflow implementation across the construction lifecycle. The long-term vision includes automation and predictive insights using historical data.
Your work may span multiple focus areas including:
Document and Model Management
You understand, analyze, and manage versions of construction documents and models on cloud platforms. You ensure teams always work with the latest information through tools like Bluebeam or PlanGrid.
RFI Management
You identify potential RFIs early through drawing and model reviews. You interpret raised RFIs, mark impacted areas and help keep all stakeholders aligned.
Submittal Management
You interpret specifications, create submittal logs, and assist project teams in tracking and managing submittals using project management platforms.
Change Management
You track cost and scope changes that arise from updated drawings, RFIs, and model revisions. You prepare scope change reports that help teams validate cost impacts.
Construction Document and Design Review
You review design drawings, construction drawings, shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs to identify inconsistencies, incomplete information, or constructability issues.
Model-Based Coordination
You use BIM to identify spatial and sequencing conflicts between trades. You use Navisworks to detect inconsistencies and help resolve issues before they reach the field. You review models for completeness and constructability and apply automation wherever possible.
Data Visualization
You use data visualization methods to track project metrics and indicators that reflect progress and quality.
General Responsibilities
You check the quality of your work before client submissions. You document workflows for new scopes or tools and support team member training. You help create best practices and knowledge share across the team. You work independently, communicate clearly, and look for ways to optimize everyday tasks. You contribute to a strong team culture with a can-do attitude.
A day in this role
You coordinate between drawings, models, cloud platforms, and project conversations. You support engineers and managers in reviewing updates, flagging risks, and organizing information. You help ensure that teams on the field receive complete, accurate work products that keep the project moving without delay.
What you should bring
• B.E./B.Tech. or higher degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields
• Working knowledge of BIM coordination, project management, change management, or constructability
• Understanding of the construction process from design to commissioning
• Familiarity with VDC tools such as Revit, Navisworks, Tekla, or Civil 3D
What will make your profile stand out
• Practical experience with BIM workflows or project management tools
• Exposure to model coordination, clash detection, or design reviews
• Ability to create or interpret submittal logs
• Internship or project experience in digital construction or related technology areas
• A strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work through ambiguity
• Curiosity and a willingness to learn new tools or workflows quickly
