Why this role exists
This role exists to ensure high-quality, accurate modeling and fabrication-ready outputs for Light Gauge Steel projects. By translating design intent into precise 3D models, shop drawings, and installation-ready deliverables, this role strengthens project predictability, coordination, and construction efficiency. It enables project teams and clients to work confidently while minimizing rework, delays, and on-site challenges.
What will you own
• Study project documents including drawings, RFIs, and addendums, identifying missing information, discrepancies, and constructability issues.
• Develop accurate 3D models for Light Gauge Steel using Revit (MWF), Tekla, or similar tools.
• Generate fabrication-ready LOD 500 2D drawings and shop drawings for field layout and shop fabrication.
• Execute model-based schedule take-offs for various materials and systems.
• Participate in trade coordination meetings to incorporate model changes.
• Support prefabrication of exterior façades for large-scale projects, including design development through installation.
• Create reports for fabrication, procurement, logistics, and site installation.
• Ensure all deliverables meet established quality metrics before submission to clients.
• Set up projects and models in Revit/Tekla, including architectural modeling (LOD 400+) for exterior facades, mockups, pursuit models, and quantity take-offs.
• Mentor and train team members on workflows, tools, and technical best practices.
• Identify process improvements and explore automation opportunities to enhance workflows.
A day in this role
A typical day starts with reviewing drawings, RFIs, and model updates to identify any gaps or inconsistencies. You work on 3D modeling, fabrication-level drawings, and schedule take-offs while coordinating with trade teams to incorporate updates. Quality checks ensure models are accurate and deliverables meet client standards. You may participate in client meetings to clarify requirements and align expectations. Time is also spent refining workflows, mentoring team members, and exploring tools and automation to improve project delivery. Collaboration with US-based teams during evening hours may be required.
What you should bring
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Passion for construction processes, BIM, and VDC technologies.
• Knowledge of the Light Gauge Steel Framing process, including design, detailing, procurement, fabrication, and installation.
• Working knowledge of structural codes and construction methods used in the USA.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Revit with MWF or other 3D modeling tools for LGSF modeling and drawing generation.
• Basic understanding of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil construction documents.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with distributed teams.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks independently.
What will make your application stand out
• Experience developing LOD 400–500 models and fabrication-ready shop drawings.
• Familiarity with Tekla or similar modeling software.
• Exposure to prefabrication workflows and coordination with field installation teams.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor or train team members on BIM/VDC processes.
• Experience generating reports for procurement, logistics, and project tracking.
• Proactive approach to process improvement, automation, or innovative construction solutions.
• Comfortable collaborating with international teams across different time zones.
