Project Engineer - Site Execution
- Review and study construction drawings, identify discrepancies, report them to the design team, and follow up until resolution.
- Execute site works strictly as per approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and established quality processes.
- Ensure completion of pre-work, during-work, and post-work quality checklists to maintain compliance with quality standards.
- Manage the project lifecycle from initiation through execution to final handover, including coordination with design consultants and stakeholders.
- Ensure all works are executed in accordance with the approved Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and issued construction drawings.
- Monitor project progress on a daily basis, identify site bottlenecks, and take timely decisions to mitigate critical issues and avoid work stoppages.
- Coordinate with all design consultants to ensure timely issuance and delivery of design drawings and technical deliverables.
- Execute works as per the approved baseline schedule; prepare and update micro-level schedules as required and track progress on a day-to-day basis.
- Review and analyze the project’s critical path to avoid delays in critical activities, ensuring proactive coordination with the planning and project management teams.
- Review and coordinate approval of shop drawings, samples, mock-ups, and technical submittals submitted by contractors and subcontractors.
- Provide inputs on construction methodologies and value engineering initiatives for improving efficiency, cost optimization, and constructability at site.
- Calculate material quantities, raise purchase requisitions as per project schedules, and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Supervise unloading and inspection of materials at site in line with approved quality procedures, including verification of Material Test Certificates (MTCs).
- Review contractors’ and subcontractors’ running bills and final bills as per company standards, ensuring accuracy and minimizing snags.
- Ensure all project documentation—including as-built drawings, warranties, guarantees, test certificates, and completion documents—is properly maintained in the document control system for use at various project stages.
