Role Overview:
We
are looking for a QA Engineer with 4–5 years of strong hands-on experience in
test automation to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should be
confident owning automation initiatives, collaborating closely with engineering
and product teams, and leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools to improve quality
and delivery speed.
Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks for web and API testing.
· Own end-to-end test automation for assigned modules and features.
· Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA members to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
· Execute manual and automated test cases and report defects with clear reproduction steps.
· Participate actively in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives in an Agile environment.
· Ensure high test coverage across functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
· Review automation code written by junior QA engineers and provide constructive feedback.
· Leverage AI-powered coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Kiro) to improve automation productivity and code quality.
Required Skills
· 4–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on automation testing.
· Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
· Strong scripting experience using JavaScript, Java, Python, or Ruby.
· Good experience in API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
· Solid understanding of version control systems such as Git.
· Working experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
· Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
· Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
AI & Productivity Tools (Preferred)
· Hands-on experience or strong exposure to AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Kiro, or similar IDEs.
· Ability to use AI tools effectively for writing, refactoring, and optimizing automation code.
· Experience using AI tools for test case generation, debugging, and improving test coverage is a strong plus.
Good to Have
· Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or k6.
· Exposure to BDD/TDD frameworks such as Cucumber, SpecFlow, or similar.
· Basic working knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
· Experience testing microservices-based or distributed architectures.
· Mentoring or guiding junior QA engineers is a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
