vConstruct, a Pune-based Construction Technology company, is seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer with 6+ years of experience to support electrical design and engineering services for global construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and review designs to deliver high-quality, code-compliant electrical solutions across all phases of project design.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations throughout all phases of project design, in coordination with a US-licensed engineer.
- Assist in developing electrical system designs and analytical models using applicable electrical codes and standards.
- Perform electrical engineering calculations such as load calculations, short-circuit analysis, lighting calculations, and equipment sizing.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, BIM modelers, and external stakeholders to deliver coordinated, high-quality electrical design solutions.
- Participate in interdisciplinary coordination to resolve design and constructability issues.
- Lead and support construction administration activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, and technical clarifications as assigned.
- Support project execution through technical coordination, quality reviews, and risk evaluation.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and client requirements.
Skills
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering design for commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IEC, etc.).
- Experience in preparing electrical drawings, technical specifications, and design calculations.
- Proficiency in electrical design and documentation tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and related analysis software.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required.
