vConstruct is seeking Technical Design Architects to join their growing team of Design Services to support the delivery of Design-Build and Design-Assist projects. This role exists to bridge the gap between the design vision and technical execution ensuring architectural intent is preserved while achieving constructability, compliance and cost efficiency.
This role would fit an individual with a professional background in Architecture and excels in technical design aspects, has strong design coordination skills, and a good working knowledge of construction methodologies. The individual would work on a range of projects of different scales and complexities in core markets of our expertise such as hospitals, data centers and life science buildings.
Location: Magarpatta, Pune
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and coordinate shop drawings and submittals for assigned architectural scopes of work.
- Support and participate in constructability reviews, design coordination meetings, identifying and resolving design conflicts in coordination with project teams.
- Support the development, organization, and ongoing maintenance of an architectural detail library for various building systems.
- Develop, maintain, and improve Revit templates, families, and BIM standards to support project efficiency and consistency.
- Collaborate closely with regional design leaders, project teams, structural engineers, self-perform scope leads, design managers, and MEP consultants to ensure coordinated design solutions.
- Support architectural design development from concept through Issued for Construction (IFC) stages across multiple projects.
- Prepare and coordinate architectural drawings, layouts, and construction documentation in accordance with project requirements and standards.
- Develop construction detail design options for assemblies such as drywall and exterior skin systems that balance budget, schedule, constructability, and client objectives.
- Assist with design revisions and clarifications, RFIs, and value engineering initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience & skills
- 3-5 years of professional experience as an Architect or Technical Designer in AEC industry.
- Educational qualification – Minimum of bachelor’s degree in architecture.
- Experience working on US-based projects is highly preferred. Familiarity with U.S. building codes and standards is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of architectural systems and construction methodologies in US, including drywall partitions, waterproofing systems, and exterior finish assemblies. Ability to examine the sequence and compatibility of construction components is highly desirable.
- Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Revit for Architectural modeling, documentation and detail development is required.
- Hands-on experience in creating and maintaining parametric families and Revit templates is essential.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Revit Dynamo is highly desirable. Familiarity with Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, Tekla, and Revizto are an added benefit.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in conducting design reviews and to develop high-quality deliverables.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proactive, positive team player capable of building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
