Senior Project Engineer- LGSF

Pune

Why this role exists
This role exists to strengthen project delivery by combining deep technical expertise with operational ownership across BIM/VDC, prefabrication, and coordination workflows. The role bridges design intent, constructability, and execution by ensuring that teams deliver accurate, scalable, and fabrication-ready outputs while continuously improving workflows through standardization, automation, and collaboration.
When this role is performed well, projects become more predictable, coordination issues are resolved earlier, teams work more efficiently, and clients gain confidence in delivery quality. The role also helps transform project learnings into repeatable systems that improve outcomes across future projects.
What You Will Own
Project Delivery and Coordination
  • Lead BIM/VDC execution for projects across healthcare, commercial, data center, prefabrication, or construction engineering domains.
  • Develop and manage coordinated models, shop drawings, spool drawings, and fabrication-ready deliverables.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards, timelines, and client expectations.
  • Identify constructability challenges, coordination issues, and information gaps early in the project lifecycle.
  • Support project setup activities including BIM standards, model structuring, ACC/Forma workflows, and coordination processes.
Client and Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Act as a key point of coordination between onsite teams, offshore teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Participate in client meetings, review sessions, and coordination discussions to drive alignment and issue resolution.
  • Clarify project expectations, sequencing requirements, and workflow dependencies.
  • Build trust with stakeholders through proactive communication and reliable execution.
  • Drive process improvements using BIM automation, structured data workflows, and digital tools.
  • Develop and improve workflows using tools such as Dynamo, Revit add-ins, scripting, or model-based automation.
  • Bring Process Optimization, Innovation and Standardize repeatable workflows through SOPs, templates, and best practices.
  • Improve downstream usability of models and deliverables for fabrication, procurement, and field teams.
  • Communicate with clients regarding project deliverables. Most client meetings will happen between 5 PM and 10 PM IST.
Team Leadership and Capability Building
  • Help team develop high-quality, accurate 3D models for Light Gauge steel using Revit (MWF)/Tekla software or similar software and applying knowledge of Light gauge steel systems, constructability, and previous experience.
  • Mentor and support team members on workflows, technical problem-solving, and project coordination.
  • Conduct quality checks (QC) and provide constructive feedback to improve project delivery standards.
  • Support onboarding, knowledge sharing, and workflow training initiatives.
  • Contribute to resource planning, team coordination, and delivery management activities.
A day in this role
The day starts by reviewing project priorities, coordination issues, and delivery timelines. You review models, drawings, RFIs, and updates to ensure teams are working with accurate and current information. Coordination meetings with internal teams and clients help align execution priorities and resolve constructability challenges. Time is spent guiding team members, reviewing deliverables, improving workflows, and supporting project planning activities. You also explore automation opportunities and process improvements that can reduce manual effort and improve consistency across projects. The day closes with tracking progress, documenting learnings, and preparing teams for upcoming deliverables and coordination milestones.
What You Should Bring
  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 4–8 years of experience in BIM/VDC, project coordination, prefabrication, or construction workflows, with strong knowledge of Light Gauge Steel Framing (LGSF) processes including design, detailing, fabrication, and installation.
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation, coordination, and project execution workflows.
  • Hands-on expertise in tools such as Revit, Navisworks, ACC/Forma, Bluebeam, Revizto, Tekla, or similar platforms and LGSF related tools such as MWF Plug-in, Vertex BD, etc.
  • Experience working on healthcare, commercial, data center, or prefab-focused projects.
  • Strong understanding of constructability, fabrication workflows, and model-based coordination.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining delivery quality and accountability.
  • Interest in process improvement, automation, and emerging construction technologies.
What Will Make Your Application Stand Out
  • Experience leading BIM/VDC delivery for large-scale prefab, healthcare, commercial, or data center projects.
  • Strong knowledge of LGSF workflows, including detailing, prefabrication, fabrication, installation, and model-to-fabrication processes.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as MWF, Vertex BD, MiTek, Dynamo, or similar automation and prefab-focused tools.
  • Ability to develop and standardize scalable workflows, SOPs, and quality-driven delivery processes.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring team members, driving coordination, and collaborating with international teams across multiple time zones.
  • Strong ownership mindset with interest in automation, AI, and data-driven approaches to improving construction delivery and project outcomes.
